The weather resistant Piko 35000 transformer primarily serves as a power supply for the Piko speed controllers 35002 & 35006, in addition to the Piko digital command Centre. The Piko 35000 switch mode power supply is also an ideal power source for electric direct current accessories such as control boxes, points, signals & lighting etc. The Piko 35000 transformer has been developed in accordance with the latest technical knowledge. In the power supply device, the alternating current from the household mains socket with 230 V (AC) 50 Hz is rectified for the driving power supply before the voltage is stepped down to the safe low voltage of 22 V (DC). The connecting cable ends in a black & white cable. The white cable is the positive pole, please take this into account when connecting your devices. The Piko 35000 power supply can be placed on a stable, flat surface before being permanently mounted eg: by inserting normal wood screws into the 4 screw eyelets. The power supply reacts to short-circuits & overloading, it deactivates itself & restarts after the short-circuit or overloading have been remedied. There is therefore no fear of overload damage resulting from excessive current loading. However you should still turn your speed control to zero or activate the emergency stop, if possible other components should also de-activated. Always disconnect the plug from the mains whilst fixing a defect. Please follow manufacturers instructions included.
