The Japanese Railways N700 Series Shinkansen High-Speed train was developed by JR Central & JR West. The N700 Shinkansen High Speed Trains accelerate quicker than the other Shinkansen trains and are capable of tilting up to 1 degree which allow the trains to maintain speed, so trains can now travel between Tokyo & Osaka on a Nozomi run 5 minutes faster than the previous time. It is said that by 2011 all Nozomi through runs & all regular Nozomi services will be operated by the N700, replacing the 300, 500 & 700 series. The N700 series of trains have a max speed of 186 mph, and since 2009 the N700 trains have wireless Internet available for use between Tokyo & Shin-Osaka.
